Fann Mountains, Tajikistan

The Fann Mountains are not only the most beautiful mountains in Tajikistan but also throughout Central Asia. The unique feature of this place is that it boasts close to 100 mountain peaks. 

It also has three major lakes, which are the Chukurak Lake, Bibijanat Lake, and Alauddin Lakes. It is a perfect spot for adventurous travelers where they can trek and enjoy the unique view.

Pamir Highway, Tajikistan

This destination is renowned as the second-highest highway in the world and is known as the wildest ones. It stretches between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, where breathtaking sceneries of high mountains and desserts can be enjoyed. 

Pamir is locally known as the Bam-i-Dunya or the “Roof of the World.” Taking a road trip on this highest road is not the only way to enjoy it. 

You can also bathe in the natural hot springs located in the area, and later do some camping and gaze at the Milky Way. 

Darvaza Gas Craters, Turkmenistan

This is one of the most mysterious places to visit in Turkmenistan. The Darvaza Gas Crater is known as the  Door to Hell or Gates of Hell. 

This former gas field was intentionally set on fire to prevent the spread of methane gas in 1971, and the crater has been burning ever since. Despite its name, it looks absolutely enchanting at night as the fires burn bright.
