Plan For Savings

Don't wait to buy your tickets if you already know you're planning a trip to Disney in the coming year. Every year the parks jack up their admission fees, so if you prepare ahead, you can save before those rises come into effect.

Any extra day you spend inside a park in Disney cuts dollars off admission to the park. Current daily admission rates start at $109 per person (age 10+) for a one-park day pass, then remain for three days and fall to $105 per day.

Last four days, and fall to $101. Stay 5 days, and it's going down to $83 ... you get the picture.

Download the Disney App

This could be the best Disney World tip anybody can give you! Download the app and review the park to find deals.

Once you've booked your Disney World ticket online, you'll be able to log in and get quick passes (up to 3 in advance for any day) to skip the line on the most popular routes.

It's a game-changer. However, everyone does this, so it's best to get your tickets 30 days in advance so you're ready when fast passes are posted.

You can try to use them as soon as possible because you can still get more during the day after you've used up your initial three allowance-just keep testing the app.

Pack Your Bag Properly

Don't allow silly packing to slow down your trip.

Drones, suitcases, large backpacks, toy guns or water pistols, folding chairs, selfie sticks, tripods, glass containers, pets, or plastic straws are not allowed in Disney World, in addition to the usual prohibited items like alcohol, firearms, drugs, or anything illegal.

Several are predicted - some are not so much. Disney World Security is no joke, and if found, they will ask you to return it to your car or throw it away, so it's best to pack your bag knowing the rules in advance.

Bring Lots of Snacks

The food at Disney World can be pricey, but even worse, the peak-time queues will easily take you over an hour to get food. So, pack some snacks for those times that you absolutely need to eat something.

At every stand that sells food and beverages at Disney World, you can also get free water - so no need to cart around big water bottles around or pay for beverages if you don't want them!

Of course, some restaurants are fun to go to, and there are also nice allergen-free menus for those who need them. So pack some snacks, but also plan for some Disney restaurant relaxation when it is easy to get in.

Take Advantage of Free Activities

Disney World is its own unique universe, and so more can be explored beyond just the parks itself.

Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of Disney World's most comfortable places to stay, but even non-hotel guests can wander around the property to see if they can spot resident zebra, giraffe, gazelle, and flamingoes.

Traveling with a few nocturnal owls? Campfire sing-alongs accompanied by an outdoor screening of a Disney movie with Chip 'n' Dale are held at Fort Wilderness every night - no reservations required.

Don't Buy Park Hopper Passes

The luxury of moving in a single day between several parks is both costly AND time-consuming. Chances are, you're staying long enough in Disney to visit every park at least once.

The Park Hopper passes also do not provide water park access. Are you concerned about the extra time to kill before dinner? Get back to your cabin, or take a walk down Disney Springs.
